When did you realize you were wearing my clothes? Just curious,” teased Blake Lively to Ryan Reynolds on social media, playfully calling out her husband for copying her style. Lively, 36, took to her Instagram Story on Saturday to poke fun at Reynolds, 47, after he tagged her in a photo with his mom and made a humorous remark.
In the photo that Lively reposted, Reynolds and his mother, Tammy Reynolds, were captured posing on the beach. Reynolds sported beige pants and a pink-and-white striped sweater adorned with a large smiley face, a piece Lively had previously worn in public in 2022.
His mother, meanwhile, wore a blue dress with floral patterns and struck a pose with her hand on her hip, which Reynolds jokingly credited to his wife by writing, “Just realized @blakelively coached my mom on posing for photos.”
Lively responded with her witty retort, writing, “And when did you realize you were wearing my clothes? Just curious.”
The couple not only shares a sense of humor but also a penchant for coordinated outfits, both on and off the red carpet. They have been spotted sporting matching looks at various social events, including a dinner with close friends Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, and Channing Tatum at Emilio’s Ballato in New York City last year.
In September, Lively donned a preppy light blue tweed jacket paired with a floral-patterned minidress and pink bejeweled heels, while Reynolds sported a baby pink shirt featuring whimsical bird and cowboy doodles, along with purple socks adorned with flamingos.
Even in their casual outings, the couple’s outfits often complement each other. In November, they were seen strolling in New York City in coordinated fall casual looks, with Lively in a Smythe jacket paired with a green-and-yellow striped knit top and Reynolds in an army jacket, brown plaid button-down shirt, and beige khakis.
Reynolds has previously praised his wife’s fashion sense, describing her style as “wicked” during an interview with PEOPLE at a campaign event in 2020. Despite considering himself a minimalist, he appreciates fashion as a form of artistic expression and supports Lively’s passion for it.
