Bossie B Entertainment: The Atlanta-Based Record Label Redefining Artist Power in the Music Industry

In an industry where major labels often call the shots, Bossie B Entertainment is flipping the script—one independent artist at a time.

Founded by Talibah B., the Atlanta-based entertainment company started as an artist development firm before evolving into a full-fledged record label. But make no mistake: this is not your typical label.

“Really, it’s about the artists being able to keep their creative control,” Talibah B. said in a statement.

“Not only that, but educating them on what major labels don’t—how to do their split sheets, how to collect their money. You’d be surprised how many artists, even major ones, don’t know how to get their royalties.”

Bossie B Entertainment takes artist management to the next level, emphasizing education and financial independence.

Talibah makes sure that every artist under Bossie B Entertainment understands the paperwork and business intricacies that often go ignored. From sound exchanges to distribution deals, she makes sure her artists are always in-the-know.

“We want them to understand that being developed doesn’t just mean stage presence—it’s everything,” she said. “It’s understanding the industry, structuring yourself properly, and knowing the value of your work before just putting yourself out there.”

Through her partnerships with Virgin Music Group and Empire, she’s ensuring her artists have the same global reach as major-label acts—without sacrificing their creative freedom.

Bossie B Entertainment isn’t just sticking to American markets. With a focus on Afrobeat, R&B, Pop, and EDM, Talibah B. has gone global, adding Africa to the mix.

“People don’t realize how powerful the overseas market is. Many artists blow up internationally before they even get noticed in the U.S.,” she said. “We’re giving artists that opportunity to become global names—not just local sensations.”

This international reach has already started opening doors for the label’s rising stars, setting them apart from countless independent artists trying to navigate the industry alone.

The essence of Bossie B Entertainment’s mission is freedom—both creative and financial. Talibah B. sees artists signing away their rights without understanding the consequences all too often. She’s committed to changing the game.

“There’s an education piece missing in the music industry,” she says. “We tell artists: keep your creative control, understand the business, and don’t be a slave to your own talent. The industry has a long history of controlling and manipulating artists. We’re here to ruffle some feathers and rewrite the rules.”
