It’s been a rough week for the New York Buffalo Bills after their star player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field in the middle of the game against the Bengals for NFL Monday night. Millions of football fans watched as Damar collapsed and Bills the assistant athletic director Denny Kellington administered CPR. He helped save Damar in a horrifying moment.
Since then the star player has been in the hospital, Damar’s uncle gave media updates saying he was resuscitated twice. Finally his health is on the upswing. The doctors as of Thursday say the 24 year old is neurologically sound and is moving his hands and feet.
“Did we win?” Hamlin scribbled on a clipboard, according to Dr. Timothy Pritts, vice chair for clinical operations at UC Health.
Pritts responded, “Yes, Damar, you won. You’ve won the game of life.”
At this time, Damar remains on a ventilator, and has been successfully communicating with yes and no answers by shaking his head, nodding or writing brief notes.
