Emancipation with Will Smith is the New Film of the Year

Will Smith announced his next movie Emancipation to be streamed on Apple Plus TV starting December 2nd as an Apple Original Film.

What many people may not realize is how active Smith stays in the entertainment industry. His talents do not stop at acting. He has been the executive producer on a number of television series and movies, such as the recent Bel-Air revamp, Life in a Year, Sprinter, and many more.

The Hollywood star stays busy. From the beginning of his career on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, there is no doubt Smith’s work ethic has posed thick and strong throughout the years. Talent and creativity does not go unnoticed and he has a lot to show for it.

We love to see Smith act in a good film. IMDb says the upcoming movie Emancipation is about “A runaway slave forges through the swamps of Louisiana on a tortuous journey to escape plantation owners that nearly killed him.” The action film also stars Ben Foster, Grant Harvey, and is directed by Antoine Fuqua.

More and more of Hollywood is shedding light on American history of things we are not taught in the history books or hidden gems the majority of people do not know about. Till, a movie starring Whooppie Goldberg and Danielle Deadwyler comes to theaters this month about a young boy who lost his life in the age of racism. Amsterdam is another movie out October 7th with Christian Bale and Margot Trobbie about three friends framed for the murder of a U.S. Senator. Recollection of real events and acknowledging important events in history is important. Hollywood releases films that involve the country’s history to educate the masses by sharing truth in a creative way.

The industry will continue to expand horizons as the world continues to shift in technology, etc., careful to not let history die.
