On Instagram, KiKi Layne said that she and Ari’el Stachel were “cut from most of Don’t Worry Darling.”
When it comes to the publicized “drama” surrounding Don’t Worry Darling!, new tea is being spilled. Aside from the rumored on-set tension between director Olivia Wilde and leading lady Florence Pugh – it was recently reported that the two had a “screaming match” on the sets, which 40 crew members denied in a statement – KiKi Layne and Ari’el Stachel are now speaking out about how they were “cut from most of the movie,” which was released in US theaters last week.
In Don’t Worry Darling, KiKi Layne and Ari’el Stachel play Margaret and Ted Watkins, respectively, with the former being Alice’s (Florence Pugh) close friend who helps the main heroine discover the horrible riddle behind the fatal Victory project. KiKi took to Instagram to post a cheerful video and two cute photographs of the stunning onscreen couple from the Olivia Wilde directed film. But it was her caption that had everyone talking: “The nicest part about #DontWorryDarling is that I got to meet @arielstachel. We were deleted from the majority of the film, but we are doing well in real life.
” Stachel lovingly commented in the comments area of Layne’s Instagram photo, “My dear. You are a queen, and your talent is radiant. I was thirsty back then, and I still am.” Their Don’t Worry, Darling co-star Gemma Chan, who plays Shelley in the psychological thriller flick, also commented with a red heart emoji.
Ari’el Stachel, on the other hand, offered five charming photos from the Don’t Worry Darling sets and was all praise for KiKi Layne: “My favorite aspect of my Don’t Worry Darling experience. This woman did incredible work, and I was thirsty the moment I met her. Dontworrydarling @dontworrydarling #dontworrydarling ” KiKi remarked in the comments section, “”Thirsty the moment I met her” I adore you. I’m thankful that God brought us together.
“Tension was thICC lol so nice working with both of you!” quipped their Don’t Worry Darling co-star Asif Ali, who plays Peter in the film.” Stachel took it a step further, posting a humorous TikTok video of himself pointing out comments about how his role in Don’t Worry, Darling was reduced to that of “a glorified extra.” Although the video was captioned: “”When you wind yourself on the cutting room floor, go see Don’t Worry Darling,” his Instagram caption reads. Don’t worry, Darling #dontworrydarling”
It seems as though all the “drama” surrounding Don’t Worry Darling just refuses to die down!
