Unreleased Music and Manuscipt Stolen from Lana Del Rey

Since the pandemic began in 2020, an economic downfall has taken its wildest turn without completely crashing. With little to nothing done about increasing gas and food prices among other things, the public has become desperate to survive. Crime is at an all time high in major cities that were already high in crime like New York City, Seattle, Miami, and Los Angeles. Los Angeles alone is up 35% compared to 2020.

For thieves, it seems the easiest targets are vehicles which is now up 44%. Among the victims is music artist Lana Del Rey who opened up about the recent burglary of her car. Among items stolen were a laptop, three video cameras, and hard drives which included unreleased music and a 200 page manuscript from Simon & Schuster. According to her, nothing had been backed up. Therefore she urges fans to please not listen to any leaked music.

“Please don’t listen to the music if you hear it because it’s not coming out yet,” she asked of her fans. “And in terms of the book, I loved the book that I lost with all of my heart and put a lot of passion into it. And in terms of the camcorders, we shall see what happens with that.”
