Well, it happened. Kanye West, who recently legally changed his name to Ye, is running for the 2024 United States Presidential term.
These last few months have been interesting for Ye as he went from having a net worth of $11 billion down to $400 million after several large companies such as Vogue, Adidas, and Balenciaga cut ties with the rapper over heinous anti-semitic comments among other things.
Ye’s run for president among other actions he has taken recently only appears to create more and more drama.
Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Former President Donald Trump had a dinner at his club Mar-a-Lago with guest Ye. However Ye brought three guests along whom Trump did not know, one of them being white supremecist Nick Fuentes.
Ye says Trump yelled at him that if he were to run in 2024 he will lose. “When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was going to lose, I mean has that ever worked for anyone in history?”
He continued in a video he tweeted on Thursday evening.
“I’m like whoa hold on, hold on, hold on. You’re talking to Ye,” he said in the video. The clip was one of several videos posted by the rapper on Thursday with the slogan “YE24.”
According to BBC, when Ye ran for president back in 2020 he only appeared on the ballot in 12 states, having missed the deadline for the others, and he only collected around 60,000 votes out of an estimated 160 million.
Far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos is working on the rapper’s current campaign.
